Ozark sunset, complete with antennas.

Welcome to our Web site. We are an amateur radio club located in South Central Missouri. We have been organized since July of 2004 and meet on the second Saturday of each month at 6:00 PM. We meet at the Twin Pines Conservation Education Center in Winona on even numbered months and the Red Cross office in Van Buren on odd numbered months. We hold a net each Friday night at 7:30 PM local time on the Van Buren repeater. This is an open net and all amateurs are encouraged to check in.

Minutes of the last meeting may be read here:

The club recently helped the Community Health Clinic Nayor install an amateur radio station.
On 11 Oct 2011, six of us went to Naylor, MO to installed an Icom 706MKIIG along with the Icom AH4 remote antenna tuner and power supply
with a newly designed antenna. The antenna is made up of electric fence posts and insulators. Bob Foard N5WNF, Wayne McOsker KI0SM,
Jeremiah McLauren KD0FCL, Larry Branum (my son) along with the maintenance man Gary Regan of Missouri Highlands Health Care, started
the install around 09:30AM and with a lunch break, provide by Cynthia McGee, we finished by 1PM
Hopefully this antenna system will also be allowed to be installed at the Missouri Highlands Health Care building in Pilot Knob/Ironton.
Listen for testing of the system on 3.9735Mhz at 09:00AM local, the first Tuesday of the month.

Chuckle:

An old farmer wrote to his son in prison.
"This year I won't be able to plant potatoes because I can't dig the ground, I know if you were here u would help me."
The son wrote: " Dad don't think of digging the ground because that's where I buried the guns "
Police reads the letter and the very next day, the whole ground was dug by police looking for guns but nothing was found.
The next day the son wrote again " Now plant your potatoes dad, it's the best I could do from here!
