Cindy McGee, Barry Marquis President Lee Branum called the meeting to order at 6:30
P.M. Secretary’s report: Secretary Josiah McCampbell read minutes from the January
meeting. Minutes approved as read Treasurer’s report: Treasurer Bob Foard reported club bank balance of
$533.13 Old Business: Bob Foard reported on the possibility of linking sky-warn
to the repeater. Club discussed sky-warn and the national weather
service. Lee and Cindy discussed that the Naylor radio setup is
working good. Also discussed the other clinics setups and
the club talked about ideas on deferent setups. New Business: Lee talked about who is to be on the club bank
account. Jack Triplet reported on a test session last Monday. Lee reported on the need for club members to become
members of the ARRL in order to keep the club's ARRL
status. Lee talked about the need to be able to remotely shut
down the repeater. Lee talked about presenting a certificate of appreciation
to the New Life Church for hosting the Van Buren repeater.
Club secretary will make the certificate. Lee discussed the possibility of members attending via
Skype or ooVoo due to the fact of the large of area the club
covers. Club secretary will look into the possibility more
thoroughly. Meeting adjourned at 6:52 P.M. Next meeting at the Red Cross Building in Van Buren on
Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at 6:00 P.M.
